Radiologic Mammography Technician Location: Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Portsmouth, VA Schedule: PRN Coverage Employer: U.S. Got People (USGP)

U.S. Got People (USGP) is actively seeking qualified Radiologic Mammography Technologists to join our team and provide high-quality imaging services to active duty service members at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. • Competitive pay Minimum Qualifications: • Education: Graduate of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program Certification: • Current certification in Mammography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M) • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Experience: • At least 12 continuous months of full-time experience as a Mammography Technologist within the past 24 months, including digital imaging • Licensure/Registration: Must be an active member of the ARRT-M registry Immunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain): • Hepatitis B (series and titer) • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) • Varicella (Chickenpox) • TB (Tuberculosis) test • Seasonal Influenza (flu) vaccine • COVID-19 vaccine (if applicable) Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): • Perform both routine and advanced mammography procedures using digital or analog equipment, including stereotactic imaging, mammotomy, and basic breast ultrasound • Accurately log patient check-ins and check-outs in MHS Genesis, Mammography Record System (MRS), and related scanner logs • Prepare and position patients with professionalism and care, explaining procedures clearly and easing patient anxiety • Identify potential abnormalities or anatomical variations and determine the need for additional imaging views • Ensure all mammograms meet high technical quality standards and are properly documented • Correlate patient history and prior diagnostics to ensure thorough, targeted imaging • Maintain clean, fully operational mammography equipment and conduct daily ACR-compliant quality control checks • Identify and troubleshoot artifacts and equipment issues; report malfunctions through appropriate channels • Recognize and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions as needed • Collaborate with radiologists and staff physicians, and support optimal patient outcomes through communication and clinical insight • Monitor and restock exam room supplies to ensure readiness for all scheduled procedures

Position Benefits

• Competitive Pay: $51.09/hour • Work Schedule: Will normally be Saturdays, Sundays and the following holidays: MLK Day, Presidents Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, and Veterans Day • Shift times: Shifts are required 2x a day between the hours of 7am - 4pm and 3pm-12am. Primary Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to: • Perform a full range of MRI procedures as ordered by healthcare providers • Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety during imaging • Accurately position patients and make necessary technical adjustments as directed by the radiologist • Conduct daily equipment warm-ups and quality control tests following manufacturer guidelines • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of MRI equipment in accordance with departmental protocols • Monitor supply levels and recommend repairs or service when image quality is compromised • Identify and differentiate between image artifacts and true pathology • Make minor adjustments to imaging equipment and ensure correct programming and scanning techniques • Stay informed on the latest MRI technology trends and practices; share recommendations for departmental improvements • Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, including cardiac or respiratory arrest, by initiating appropriate resuscitative measures
