Responsibilities May Include:
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic exams, including acute care studies of the chest, abdomen, extremities, and head
  • Accurately log patient arrivals and departures; transmit images to radiologists via PACS in accordance with department protocols
  • Provide patient-centered care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort and safety throughout exams
  • Correctly position patients and make technical adjustments to obtain optimal images
  • Assist in daily operations, including managing schedules, maintaining logs, and compiling data for monthly reports
  • Support radiation safety initiatives by maintaining documentation and compliance with facility protocols
  • Contribute to protocol updates and explore innovative techniques for improving diagnostic imaging procedures

  • Monitor patients for safety, comfort, and response during and after procedures
  • Administer medications under physician supervision

  • Provide hands-on training and procedural demonstrations to clinical staff and students
  • Collaborate with civilian engineers, vendors, and representatives to ensure optimal equipment performance

  • Diabetes prevention and lifestyle counseling (familiarity with the National Diabetes Prevention Program required)
  • Experience in:
  • Conducting group health education classes
  • Organizing outreach and community events
  • Working with both youth and adult populations
Immunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain):
  • Hepatitis B (series and titer)
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
  • TB (Tuberculosis) test
  • Seasonal Influenza (flu) vaccine
  • COVID-19 vaccine (if applicable)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group nutrition counseling for patients in coordination with primary care providers
  • Lead educational classes such as diabetes management, Health Improvement Programs (HIP), and nutrition support
  • Support base health initiatives, including the Healthcare to Health (H2H) program
  • Deliver same-day written or verbal feedback to referring providers
  • Participate in team-based development of clinical pathways and improvement initiatives
  • Document care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, briefings, and training events related to health promotion and military readiness
  • Assist in installation-wide assessments of nutritional environments and lead improvement efforts
  • Educate military leadership annually on supplement safety and other key nutrition topics
